Performance and Capacity Management in Enterprise Data Fabric Infrastructures

A new research project in cooperation between GemStone Systems, Inc. and Descartes Research Group is launched starting September 2009. The goal of the project is to design and develop novel techniques for capacity planning and online quality-of-service management of enterprise data fabric infrastructures based on GemStone's GemFire platform. As part of the project, the Queueing Petrinet Modeling Environment (QPME) will be used for performance modeling and analysis.

People involved (from Descartes Group): Samuel Kounev, Konstantin Bender, and Nikolaus Huber.
