New Research Project on Data Center Energy Efficiency
03/03/2023On March 3, 2023, IBM and the Chair of Software Engineering of the University of Würzburg celebrated the kick-off of their one-and-a-half-year research project on the topic of energy efficiency.
Energy efficiency is a crucial concern in the IT-sector. Data centers world-wide consume significant amounts of electricity to meet the enormous and ever-growing demand for computational power.
IBM and the Chair of Software Engineering join forces to develop new methods for the evaluation and improvement of energy efficiency in data centers. From the Chair of Software Engineering, the project is led by Maximilian Meißner. Thomas Pohl is the lead on the IBM side.
