New EU Project CloudStars

The Chair of Software Engineering is a member of the new Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Staff Exchange project founded by the EU. The kickoff meeting took place in Tarragona (Spain) on January 12, 2023.

CloudStars presents a joint research programme in the area of cloud computing and AI technologies. CloudStars pursues innovation in cloud computing to support the next generation of low-latency, high-performance complex workloads, including applications of AI techniques and models for autonomic cloud resource management.

The Chair of Software Engineering (Prof. Kounev) is part of a large and influential consortium of 12 academic and five industrial institutions from 11 countries. As part of the project, two doctoral students, Maximilian Meißner and Martin Sträßer, will spend a period of 9 months at the IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center in Yorktown Heights, New York (USA). The four year project was launched with a kick-off meeting that took place in Tarragona (Spain) on January 12, 2023. The project is funded by the EU with a total budget of 1.3 million EUR.
