Descartes Tools News: LIMBO and BUNGEE

09.07.2015

LIMBO, a tool for load intensity pattern modeling, is now part of the SPEC RG's tool repository. BUNGEE, a benchmarking framework for cloud elasticity, is now released under open source license. Both tools were presented at the 10th International Symposium on Software Engineering for Adaptive and Self-Managing Systems (SEAMS) 2015.

LIMBO, an Eclipse-based tool for handling and instantiating load intensity models based on the Descartes Load Intensity Model (DLIM) passed a peer-review process and was accepted for the SPEC Research Group's tool repository. LIMBO is developed and maintained by Jóakim v. Kistowksi and Nikolas Herbst, both researchers at the Chair of Software Engineering.

BUNGEE, a Java-based framework for benchmarking the elasticity of infrastructure clouds (IaaS), as one of the newest developments of the group, is now released under the open-source Apache license.

LIMBO and BUNGEE were both presented as part of research papers at the 10th International Symposium on Software Engineering for Adaptive and Self-Managing Systems (SEAMS) 2015, Florence, Italy.
