12th European Dependable Computing Conference (EDCC 2016), Gothenburg, Sweden, September 2016.

EDCC 2016 offers a very unique event that will continue and leverage the history of past years of dependable computing, definitely mixing academic research and industrial experience being a forum to discuss today's challenges, and providing an umbrella for regular workshops. In addition to original papers on research, EDCC welcomes papers dedicated to dependability in practice: industrial applications, experience in introducing dependability in industry, use of new or mature dependability approaches to new challenging problems or domains, etc.

The conference targets a broad range of topics, which includes, but is not limited to:

  • Hardware and software architecture of dependable systems.
  • Safety critical systems.
  • Embedded and real-time systems.
  • Cyber-physical systems.
  • Cloud computing dependability and security.
  • Dependable mobile and multimedia systems.
  • Fault-tolerant networks and protocols.
  • Autonomic and adaptive systems.
  • Dependable virtualization.
  • VLSI dependability.
  • Dependability modeling and tools.
  • Testing and validation methods.
  • Dependability benchmarking.
  • Security of systems and networks.
  • Intrusion-tolerant systems.
  • Critical infrastructure protection.
