Prof. Dr. Samuel Kounev has decided to stay in Würzburg after receiving an offer for a Professorship position (Full Professor and Chair for Reliable Software Systems) at the University of Stuttgart.

The 13th IEEE International Conference on Autonomic Computing took place in Würzburg from July 18th to July 22nd, 2016 and has been organized by the Chair of Software Engineering (Informatik II) with Prof. Samuel Kounev serving as General Chair.

An article co-authored by Simon Spinner, Fabian Brosig, and Prof. Dr. Samuel Kounev has been accepted for publication in the Elsevier Performance Evaluation journal. The article is entitled "Evaluating Approaches to Resource Demand Estimation".

The Chair of Software Engineering made major contributions to a Technical Report on a research agenda for performance-oriented DevOps published by the SPEC as part of its ongoing collaboration with the SPEC RG DevOps Performance Working Group.

LIMBO, a tool for load intensity pattern modeling, is now part of the SPEC RG's tool repository. BUNGEE, a benchmarking framework for cloud elasticity, is now released under open source license. Both tools were presented at the 10th International Symposium on Software Engineering for Adaptive and Self-Managing Systems (SEAMS) 2015.

New results originating from two successful collaborations with the SPEC OSG Power and with VMware, Inc. will be presented at IEEE MASCOTS 2015 and IEEE CLOUD 2015 respectively.
