Google Research Award
19.08.2015The Chair of Software Engineering (Prof. Dr. Samuel Kounev) is starting a new collaboration with Google as part of a Google Research Award on the topic of "On-the-fly resource demand estimation during system operation".
The Google Research Awards Program is a highly competitive international program "aiming to support the work of world-class full-time faculty members at top universities around the world". Recipients are selected through a comprehensive internal review process. The intent of the Google Research Awards is to support cutting-edge research in Computer Science, Engineering, and related fields.
805 proposals were submitted in 2015 covering 48 countries on 6 continents. After expert reviews and committee discussions, 113 projects have been selected leading to an overall acceptance rate of 14%.
