Last week, our team had the privilege of hosting the kick-off meeting for our new DFG-funded research project Serverless Scientific Computing and Engineering for Earth Observation and Sustainability Research (SOS) at the stunning Umweltforschungsstation Schneefernerhaus.

Unser ehemaliges Mitglied Veronika Lesch hat einen Ruf als Professorin für Angewandte Informatik an der Dualen Hochschule Baden-Württemberg (DHBW) Mosbach erhalten.

Eine neue Generation von Cloud-Diensten ist im Kommen. Sie funktioniert nach dem Prinzip des „Serverless Computing“ und wird auch am Institut für Informatik der Uni Würzburg vorangetrieben.

Our research article "Serverless Computing: What It Is, and What It Is Not?" co-authored by JMU members Samuel Kounev, Nikolas Herbst and international experts in the field Cristina L. Abad, Alexandru Iosup, Ian Foster, Prashant Shenoy, Omer Rana, and Andrew A. Chien that appeared in the Communications of the ACM (CACM) magazine in Sept 2023 was featured on the CACM video channel.
